Havelock North Carolina Attractions
Pirates, shells and heroes of historic battles represent the history of the North Carolina Maritime Museum, making it a popular attraction for visitors of all ages. It was a rainy day when I went on a trip to the museum with some friends on a sunny day in May this year.
The diversity of exhibits in the museum ensures that everyone is well entertained on site. My visit to the exhibition coincided with a visit from Havelock, where numerous historic airplanes were exhibited, which were virtually around the corner. Military and aviation fans will surely be thrilled at this holiday party. Learn more about the history of the North Carolina Maritime Museum and its exhibits.
Havelock is easily accessible by State Route 70, which runs through the town of Morehead City and the town of Beaufort, as well as several other towns in the area. Dolphin watching, fishing, kayaking and a variety of other activities are possible along the headwaters. While residents can also visit the North Carolina Museum of Natural History museum and exhibit, it is not common for visitors to drive to neighboring towns like Beau Fort or visit the museum.
Havelock's main attraction in North Carolina is the cinema, which includes a variety of films as well as a number of other entertainment options. The cinemas are located in Beaufort and Beau Fort, giving moviegoers plenty of options, and visitors can also access Fort Macon Beach, where there is a wide range of activities including kayaking, fishing, swimming and more. On the state's east coast, cities like New Bern and Morehead City both offer more entertainment options, including nightclubs and theaters, than their neighboring cities.
The new Bern is full of activities for visitors of all kinds, while Morehead City, regardless of interest or age, is home to a variety of fun shopping and dining tours that can go miles. In more than one North Carolina city, there is always something that catches the attention of visitors, whether it's a movie, a concert or a fun day on the city's beaches.
The love of fishing infects Morehead City, which is surrounded by miles of coastal and even offshore waters. There are even beaches where kayakers can go out on the water and simply paddle in the nearby waters, as well as a number of kayak and paddle parks.
Check out the area's events calendar to find courses and programs for children, or visit neighboring Beaufort, where a number of local water sports and kayaking companies offer guided tours. Head out for fishing and throw your rod into the water that runs along the waterfront of downtown Morehead City. Visit the picturesque Calico Creek area and explore the fishing boats available. You can also start from the city's public beaches, making it a great destination for kayaks and canoeing, as well as kayaking and canoeing.
